I would like to extend my greetings as the new President and Representative Director of Solasto Corporation, as of April 1, 2019.
Solasto was founded in 1965 as the first-ever educational institution specializing in the field of medical support services in Japan. Since that time the company has expanded the scope of its business from reception, accounting, and other medical outsourcing business for medical institutions to the areas of elderly care and child care. Today, Solasto has 25,000 employees nationwide, approximately 90% of whom are women. They perform medical support, elderly care, and child care service.
These services are provided in areas that are essential to our society. We believe that we must expand the size of our business rapidly to become a company that has earned the trust of society as a leader in these fields. We are therefore accelerating our initiatives in each business as a part of VISION 2030, our Management Vision which targets achievement of 300 billion yen in net sales and 20 billion yen in operating profit by 2030, and have already begun to produce certain results.
＜Medical Outsourcing Business＞
Our goal is to be of even greater service to medical institutions and patients by providing better medical support services. We are also working to provide high quality services and to motivate employees by implementing training and utilizing ICT to achieve dramatic improvements in productivity.
＜Elderly Care Business＞
We intend to actively utilize M&A and alliances to rapidly expand the size of our business substantially and meet the diverse needs of a wider range of people who require elderly care services. Also collaborating medical services and elderly care services and providing total care services in local area, with the goal of being a provider that upholds the future of elderly care in Japan.
＜Child Care Business＞
We think about and implement child care operations that enable all children to be active and have fun. We are also working to create a personnel structure that is stable from many perspectives, such as creating an environment to motivate caregivers, with the goal of being the top choice in child care in local communities.
To achieve these initiatives, we will build a strong base to accelerate the speed of management reform and enable Solasto to continue operating a stable business in the future. We will also actively introduce ICT in all of our businesses to support employees and to improve productivity. Doing so will enable Solasto to transform into a digital company of service industry, and constantly renew service models. We will simultaneously target rapid expansion of the size of our business to become a company that is even more trusted by the communities. We believe that both efficiency and rapid expansion of the business through M&A are effective means to achieve that, and we will continue to actively pursue M&A in the future. We will also create opportunities to build new business models that complement the growth in and take advantage of the strengths of our existing businesses.
We believe that if we can enable all of Solasto's employees to work in the important fields of medical outsourcing, elderly care, and child care with high motivation and pride through these initiatives, this will enable us to make even greater contributions to society. We will continue to strive to be the top in the industry in terms of human resources, business performance, and size in order to continue to earn the trust of all of our stakeholders.
I ask for your continued support and guidance as you look forward to our future initiatives.
